The Covered Yard
The Covered Yard has a main central space of 22 x 12m. We have tables and chairs to seat around 150, a rustic bar area, and a Bedouin tent of 6x8m - perfect for a more intimate space when needed - within this area. Alongside this central space there is an adjoining area of 4.75 x 21.75m with a fully equipped catering kitchen and cafe area. The kitchen includes an oven, two hobs, a large walk-in fridge, prep areas, pots, pans, utensils and a washing up area. We have cutlery and plates for around 150. The yard is equipped with three toilets and two showers again adjoining.
The main camping field is right next to the covered yard so literally all you need to host a party is right there!
The Old Barn
The Old Barn is as old as the house, built in the late 15th century.
It has recently been lovingly restored. At 5.7 x 11m it’s a perfect space for workshops, dancing and weddings.
The Land
Ruthlands is 22 acres. This includes garden, woodlands, fields for camping, orchard, a stream, natural spring, and a large pond.
No traffic noise can be heard, nor is it overlooked by other roads or houses. There are numerous pockets of tranquillity and spaces for camping, holding an outdoor workshop or simply soaking up the peacefulness - present in abundance.
The Cottage
We have a recently beautifully restored cottage which can be rented as part of your event if you would like some luxury accommodation.
There is a double bedroom, another with two single beds, an third optional bedroom area with sofabed that can be curtained off from the sitting room downstairs, a bathroom with shower and bath, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher. As everywhere else it has excellent Wifi. There is also an adjoining outdoor garden space with table and chairs, shelter and barbeque area.
